July 30, 2008 — Motorsports Composites Training (www.M-C-T. org), today announced an agreement with the Jim Russell Racing Driver’s School (JRRDS) to train race car mechanics in advanced carbon fiber composite repair and manufacturing. JRRDS, which hosts a year-long Mechanics Training Program, will now include the Motorsports Composites Training Course as a mandatory step in its curriculum. The 5-day course includes extensive hands on training around material selection for manufacturing new parts or making repairs, working with metal and composites, resin systems, when to use substitute materials, damage assessment methods, wet repairs, lay up and cure techniques, auto clave processing and much more. About the JRRDS Mechanics Training Program The JRRDS Mechanics Training Program is dedicated to training entry-level mechanics for race teams.
